Akash Network, a decentralized cloud computing platform in the Cosmos ecosystem, has announced that it will be offering GPUs for artificial intelligence (AI) workloads. This move is expected to provide a significant boost to the platform’s capabilities and attract more users to the network.
The addition of GPUs to the Akash Network will enable users to run complex AI workloads with greater speed and efficiency. GPUs are known for their ability to handle large amounts of data in parallel, making them ideal for AI applications such as machine learning and deep learning.
According to Greg Osuri, Founder of Akash Network, “Getting GPUs on the cloud today is nearly impossible unless you have deep pockets and connections. Building the Akash Network GPU market to empower the next generation of AI companies is a moral imperative.”
Osuri says Akash should have GPUs in Mainnet sometime in the middle of June and many AI startups have been contacting him daily in their effort to find new GPU providers.
The move is also expected to attract more users to the Akash Network, which has been gaining popularity in the Cosmos ecosystem due to its decentralized nature and low cost. With the addition of GPUs, the platform is expected to become even more attractive to developers and businesses looking for a cost-effective and efficient way to run their AI workloads.
The Akash Network is built on the Cosmos SDK, which enables developers to build custom blockchains and decentralized applications (dApps) on top of the Cosmos ecosystem. The platform is designed to be highly scalable and secure, with a focus on providing a decentralized cloud computing infrastructure that is accessible to everyone.
With the addition of GPUs for AI workloads, the Akash Network is poised to become a major player in the decentralized cloud computing space. The platform’s focus on affordability and efficiency, combined with its commitment to decentralization, makes it an attractive option for developers and businesses looking to leverage the power of AI in their operations.
“Akash will unlock a new era for AI developers,” Osuri said.
