Scarce store of value NETA

Juno has been on a tear recently and a new coin called NETA will be claimable for stakers and governance voters of the three-month old network.

From the developers:

$NETA is money on the @JunoNetwork – A decentralized store of value, medium of exchange and unit of account.

A snapshot for the NETA airdrop was taken on Dec. 15, the same day as the Moneta upgrade which saw smart contracts go live on Juno. Those staking 25 Juno who voted on at least one governance proposal will be able to claim 11 NETA, with bonuses given out for voting on all the proposals and staking outside the top 20 validators for a total of 16.2 NETA.

CHECK NETA AIRDROP

The news of NETA’s arrival, scheduled for Feb. 1, has created a buzz among Juno stakers who are excited about the low initial supply of a mere 32,000 coins. Further enhancing the scarcity will be a token burn of any unclaimed NETA upon the ending of the claim window Feb. 28. Some traders have predicted a max supply as low at 20,000, using data from Osmosis as an indicator, where many did not claim their airdrop.

The claim process has been set back from Jan. 1 to address security concerns in an effort to ensure the protocol is bulletproof as it will be “set in stone” and untouched after tokens are claimed.

A Unique fact of the NETA airdrop is the entire supply will be going to stakers of Juno and no private or public sale is taking place. No reserve NETA is held by developers, teams, founders or companies.

Adding to the mix is a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) created specifically for NETA. In a 23-page document, two tokens are proposed to benefit those who lock up their NETA. Details are still being worked on, but the project aims to provide the tokens dealing with governance, with the DAOs mission to bring value to NETA.

If Osmosis’ ION is any barometer, NETA as the “hard money of Juno” is poised to carry a value in the thousands, possibly making the most valuable airdrop thus far in a flurry of airdrops for the Cosmos ecosystem.
